RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in telemetry unit caring for medical/surgical patients
• Handle patient ratios with maximum of 6:1
• Care for 4-6 patients at a time
• 1+ years of acute medical/surgical/telemetry experience within the last year required
• 2+ years telemetry experience with PCI and CABG POD 2 preferred
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration
• Handle continuous bladder irrigation, NGT insertion/maintenance, and EKG interpretation
• Document in Meditech EMR system
• Work with standard telemetry equipment
• Communicate with all members of care team
• Float to medical/surgical/telemetry units as needed
• Weekend shifts as needed on unit with no on-call responsibilities
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs
• Must maintain friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality
