RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 13-week travel assignment on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• 2 years of hospital experience required
• Must maintain active compact nursing license at submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIAH
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Work with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
• Use Expanse EMR system
• Must have strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience
• 2 years PCU experience required
• Preferred experience with pre-post cardiac catheterization and pacer patient care
• May float to Med Surg, ICU for border patients, and Emergency Department for ED holds
• Work every other weekend or equivalent based on staffing needs
• Professional dress code with no required scrub color
• Must be self-directed, confident, positive, and possess strong communication skills

This medical center operates a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit located on the 2nd floor, staffing 5 RNs and 2 LNAs with flexible staffing based on patient volume.
