RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work 9-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call requirements approximately one weekend per month and 2-3 days per week
• 30-minute call back time requirement
• Late stay flexibility required
• Must have cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating room experience
• Provide Level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures
• Work with open heart, vascular, and thoracic equipment
• Assist with procedures including CABG, valves, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO
• Maintain patient ratios of 3 staff members per OR
• Work in 3 OR suite environment
• Flexible schedule and punctuality required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases preferred
• Time off requests must be included in contract
• 3-person on-call team every night (2 RNs and 1 scrub tech)
• Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a specialized cardiovascular surgery unit located on the 2nd floor of the main building. The CVOR department operates 3 OR suites with a close-knit team of 11 staff members, including experienced professionals who have been with the organization for nearly 20 years. The unit provides comprehensive cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical services with Level 2 trauma capabilities and maintains high standards for patient care using advanced medical equipment and technology.
