RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 24-bed surgical/telemetry unit with 5:1 patient ratios
• Night shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2 PCTs
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIH, and BLS
• Cardiac/telemetry experience and/or surgical experience preferred
• Work with telemetry monitoring and post-operative monitoring equipment
• Electronic medical record system: Meditech
• Provide post-operative recovery care for surgical and cath lab patients
• Handle variety of patient population including elective orthopedic, spine, GYN surgeries
• Care for post-cardiac procedures (PCI, pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion)
• Manage patients with stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
• Administer cardiac drips at set rates (non-titrating except heparin)
• Must be friendly, outgoing, and able to multi-task in high patient turnover environment
• Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
