RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Must have active compact license at submission
• Required certifications: BLS & ACLS
• Work on medical surgical unit (PNCU) on 3rd floor
• 18-bed medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratios 5:1 or 6:1
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Work with equipment including feeding pumps, PEG tubes, IVs, central lines, drains, and EKGs
• EMR system: Meditech
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required
• Float to other Med Surg units as needed
• Typical procedures include assisting neurologist with bedside LPs, central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, and Foley catheter insertion
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork, compassion, patience, and communication skills
• Neuro assessment skills preferred
