Description
Opportunity:
RN - Acute Care
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts on T8 - Trauma, Ortho, Surgical unit with 30 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Weekend requirement of 3 shifts in a 4-week period
• Holiday coverage integrated into permanent staff rotation
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Floor-specific orientation of 2 shifts
• Floating to Observation, VMU, T6, T5, 6N, 5N MedSurg, and all medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Care for transplant patients post-op day 1, Whipple procedures, spine surgeries, orthopedic joints, and trauma patients
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry equipment
• Navy scrub color required
• Must have natural hair color with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This Level 1 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with specialized focus on complex surgical procedures including transplant operations and Whipple procedures. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, along with SWAT RN IV team support. The medical center emphasizes high standards of nursing competency, particularly in maintaining sterile technique and performing critical nursing skills, with state-of-the-art equipment including BiPAP and CPAP ventilation support.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
