RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios: Calling for 4:1, currently running some 5:1 due to staffing needs
• Required certifications: NIH certification, BLS, heavy med-surg background
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and neuro experience
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometer
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Perform NIH/stroke assessments, neuro assessments, fall risk assessments, trach care, and feeding tube management
• Work on 7th floor unit with 38 beds and 55 staff members
• Day shift staffing includes 2 charges without patients, RN ratios of 4-5:1, and 2 PCTs
• Must be highly motivated team player with great critical thinking skills
• Need to be passionate about neuro patient population with ability to multi-task
• Must demonstrate positive, energetic, flexible attitude and engage with patient experience tactics
• Should be able to take initiative and think well on feet
