RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (some sources indicate 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM)
• 13-week contract assignment
• No on-call requirements
• Rotating weekends every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:30 RN to patient
• Minimum 1 year of bedside case management experience required
• Meditech or HCA experience required
• Post acute care knowledge required
• Throughput experience preferred
• Work with EMR systems: Meditech/Midas
• Use computer and standard office equipment
• Perform discharge planning and care progression
• Conduct difficult conversations with families, patients, and collaborate with physicians on care plans
• Must have strong personality for challenging conversations
• Need to be adaptable and proactive
• Dress code: Navy scrubs with white lab coat or business casual with white lab coat, closed-toe shoes required (no crocs or fake nails allowed)

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that provides acute care services across multiple specialized units including ICU, Observation, Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit, Neurology, and Orthopedic departments. The facility employs a collaborative approach to patient care with a team of 15 registered nurses and 15 social workers working together to ensure optimal patient outcomes and discharge planning.
