RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM per department details)
• No on-call requirements
• Rotating weekends every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:30 (RN to patient)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside case management experience required
• Meditech or HCA experience required
• Post acute care knowledge required
• Meditech/Midas or HCA experience preferred
• Throughput experience preferred
• Work with computer and standard office equipment
• Use Meditech/Midas EMR system
• Perform discharge planning and progression coordination
• Conduct difficult conversations with families, patients, and collaborate with physicians on care plans
• Must have strong personality for challenging conversations
• Must be adaptable and proactive
• Dress code: Navy scrubs with white lab coat OR business casual with white lab coat, closed toe shoes required (no crocs or fake nails)
• Work across various units including ICU, Observation, Telemetry, PCU, Neuro, and Ortho

This major medical center features comprehensive case management services with a team of 15 RNs and 15 social workers. The facility operates multiple specialized units including ICU, observation, telemetry, progressive care, neurology, and orthopedic units. The organization emphasizes collaborative care coordination and maintains modern technology systems to support effective patient throughput and discharge planning. The case management department focuses on ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive care coordination and family communication.
