RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Various shift options available: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM starts
• Patient ratios: 4:1 (unless low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients then 6:1)
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Work with emergency department team including charge nurses, flow coordinators, ED techs, and unit secretaries
• Must have Alaska RN license at time of submission
• Prior emergency department experience required
• Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
• Trauma and pediatrics experience preferred
• Equipment includes Lucas device, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I-stat, EPOC, and GE monitors
• Electronic medical record system: EPIC
• Typical procedures include splinting and breathing treatments in addition to standard ED nursing duties
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with appropriate professional fit
• Must demonstrate flexibility, transparency, positive attitude, efficiency, and team player qualities

This healthcare facility operates a 20-bed emergency department with 4 hallway beds, serving as a comprehensive emergency care center. The department maintains a staff of 50 healthcare professionals and provides advanced emergency services including stroke and STEMI protocols. The facility utilizes state-of-the-art medical equipment and maintains EPIC electronic medical records for optimal patient care coordination.
