RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro/Trauma

Job Details:

• 2 years of hospital setting experience required
• Must have active compact nursing license at time of submission
• Work on 3rd floor medical surgical unit specializing in neuro and trauma patients
• 18-bed unit with patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Work every 3rd weekend
• Floating to other medical surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code requires navy scrubs
• Use EMR system Meditech
• Work with equipment including feeding pumps, PEG tubes, IVs, central lines, drains, and EKGs
• Perform typical procedures such as assisting neurologist with bedside lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, and Foley catheter insertion
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork, compassion, patience, and communication skills
• Neuro assessment skills preferred
• Ideal candidate is outgoing team player with compassionate personality
