RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 3 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• No guarantee of block scheduling
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse
• Float to like units (med surg) as needed
• Care for post-operative hip, knee, spine and other orthopedic procedure patients
• Use general nursing equipment specifically related to orthopedic post-op care
• Document using Meditech system
• Provide bedside shift report and safety rounding (1 hour day shift, 2 hours night shift)
• Use AIDET for all patient interactions
• Must have BLS certification
• Experience with post-operative patients required
• Positive attitude essential
• Meditech experience preferred
• No advanced skills or specific bedside procedures required
• Navy scrubs and closed-toe shoes required
• Work on 25-bed unit with 4-5 nurses, 1-3 PCTs, and department secretary coverage
