RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Various shift options available including 7a, 9a, 11a, 12n, 13p, 15p, 7p
• Patient ratios of 4:1 (or 6:1 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients)
• Rotating weekends required
• Work with equipment including Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I-stat, EPOC, and GE monitors
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Perform typical ED RN duties plus splinting and breathing treatments
• Prior emergency department experience required
• Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
• Trauma and pediatrics experience preferred
• Must possess Alaska RN license at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC
• Navy blue scrubs required with appropriate professional fit

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 20 headwall beds and 4 halls, staffed by approximately 50 team members. The emergency department provides critical care services with specialized staff including charge nurses, flow coordinators, RNs, ED technicians, and unit secretaries. The facility maintains modern emergency equipment and follows structured staffing patterns across day, mid, and night shifts to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
