RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Neuro Trauma unit on 4th floor of main building
• 23-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratio
• Day shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides
• Night shift staffing includes 6-7 RNs and 2 aides
• Work with bedside monitors, end tidal O2 monitoring, high flow oxygen, chronic vents, and subdural drains
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including chest tubes and EEGs
• Float to all inpatient units including ICU and ED
• Weekend schedule every other weekend with no on-call requirement
• Professional scrubs required with no specific color requirement
• Must have telemetry and step-down experience - candidates without these skills will not be considered
• Preferred experience in neuro and trauma
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Preferred certifications: NHISS and TNCC
• Must be team oriented
