RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Provide care in a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit on the 10th floor
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio
• Required certifications: ACLS
• Must have PCU experience and cardiac experience
• Must be competent with drips including heparin, tikosin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nitro, Lasix, and ketamine
• Work with equipment including telemetry, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, and SCD pumps
• Perform typical procedures including chest tube placement, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, and 12-lead EKGs
• Work in EMR system Meditech
• Must be a great team player with high energy
• Work in fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit environment with high acuity patients
• Night shift includes 1 Charge RN, 5 nurses, and 2 PCTs
