RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 17-bed Surgical Care Unit (SCU) specializing in post-surgical and general surgery patient population
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratio
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• May be required to float to like units (med/surg level of care)
• Use Epic documentation system
• Must have Med/Surg experience with skills in NG-tube and central line management
• BLS certification required
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Patient Care Technician support available when unit has more than 10 patients
• Focus on providing care for post-surgical and general surgery patient population
