RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Work in 17-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit on 3rd floor
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have Alaska nursing license in hand at time of submission
• Essential skills required: IV insertion/phlebotomy, NGT, trach care, CPAP, high flow oxygen, non-titratable drips (except heparin), post-surgical care, NIH/stroke care
• Preferred experience: cardiac and neuro care background
• Perform Q4 full assessments and vital signs, patient ambulation, stroke care, CIWA protocols, lab draws, cardiac monitoring, and electrolyte replacements
• Use Epic EMR system and telemetry floor equipment
• Float to Ortho, Medical-Surgical, Medical-Oncology, MOU, Rehab, and CVSU units as needed
• Must work 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and 3 major holidays per year
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Ideal candidates are adaptable, quick, efficient, and positive
