RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 4 to 1
• Required to work 3 weekend shifts per schedule (4 week period) and 3 major holidays per year
• Alaska nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have experience with IVs/phlebotomy, NGT, trach, CPAP, high flow oxygen, non-titratable drips (except heparin), post-surgical care, NIH/stroke care
• Preferred experience with cardiac and neuro care
• Perform Q4 full assessments, Q4 vital signs, ambulation of post-surgical patients, NIH/stroke care, CIWA protocols, labs, cardiac monitoring, and electrolyte replacements
• Float to Ortho, Medical-Surgical, Medical-Oncology, MOU, Rehab, and CVSU units
• Work with telemetry equipment and Epic EMR system
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must demonstrate adaptability, efficiency, and positive attitude

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a 17-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit located on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building. The unit maintains a staffing model with 36 total staff members, including charge nurses, RNs, and CNAs across day and night shifts. The facility utilizes modern technology including telemetry monitoring and Epic EMR systems to provide comprehensive progressive care services for post-surgical and medical patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and care.
