RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 4:1 (or 6:1 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients)
• Must have Alaska RN license at time of submission
• Prior emergency department experience required
• Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
• Trauma and pediatrics experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC
• Work with equipment including Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I stat, EPOC, GE monitors
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Perform typical ED RN duties plus splinting and breathing treatments
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with appropriate fit
• Must be flexible, transparent, positive, outgoing, efficient, and a team player

This acute care hospital features a comprehensive emergency department with 20 headwall beds and 4 halls, staffed by a team of approximately 50 healthcare professionals. The facility operates with various shift patterns and maintains specialized equipment for emergency care including advanced monitoring systems and life support devices. The emergency department provides care for a wide range of medical conditions and trauma cases, with a focus on stroke and STEMI protocols.
