Description
Opportunity:
RN - ED Hold
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Self-scheduling ability available (subject to change)
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start through UNA (maximum 2 attempts)
• Pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have strong cardiac telemetry background, preferably 2 years experience
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips (no monitor tech available)
• Common titratable drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on hospital units
• May assist with ED patient vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
• Float to medical/surgical/telemetry/overflow units and sister facilities as needed
• Two shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
• Navy scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
