RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3-12 hour shifts with every other weekend or 4 week shift schedule
• 5:1 patient ratio on a 20-bed unit
• Unit staffing includes 4 RN teams with free CNC, 2 LNAs and a Unit Clerk
• Required to perform bedside shift rounds/handoff
• Must be proficient in telemetry monitoring
• Professional dress code required
• Work with IV pumps, Sara Steady machines, Hi-flow equipment, BiPap machines, and Kangaroo pumps
• Document using Meditech Expanse system
• Handle cardiac step-down patients from CSSU and IVCU, med/surg tele, stroke overflow
• Care for patients with chest pain r/o, CHF, COPD cardiac management, chest tubes, Hi-flow and Bi-pap needs
• Assist with procedures including thoracentesis, PD, trachs, pacemakers, cardiac cath, and CIWA protocols
• Cannot take patients post cath lab unless radial artery was used
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
