RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be specified on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 on 60-bed medical unit
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Must have 1 year medical surgical experience (inpatient only)
• Current RN license required (Missouri licensed or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• BLS from AHA required
• ACLS from AHA preferred
• Work with equipment including bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacs
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Black scrubs required
• Provide direct patient care for medical patients including post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs., and potential exposure to blood and body fluids
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift - must be available entire orientation week
• Perform nursing process activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
