Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision
• Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
• Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history and assess risk factors
• Explain procedures to patients including side effects, risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions
• Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images according to protocols
• Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols
• Communicate findings to radiologist and recognize/respond to medical emergencies
• Participate in process improvement activities including quality of care and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees
• Take call/standby shifts as required by department
• May perform radiologic technologist duties as needed
• Must have 3 years recent radiology and CT experience in hospital setting
• Experience with GE CT scanner and portable x-ray machines required
• ARRT certification in Radiology and CT Tech required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• EMR experience preferred
