RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on the 2 West Neuroscience Unit with 24-bed capacity
• Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6
• Required to work every other weekend
• Must have experience with assessment, medication administration, foley care and purewick care, IV push
• Blood administration and blood thinner administration experience required
• Must be skilled in EKG and central line care
• Pain management experience required
• Perform blood draws and post heart catheterization recovery
• Care for post surgical brain and spine patients
• Work with Baxter IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCD pumps, Hill-Rom beds, 5-lead EKG, and Posey alarms
• Use Meditech EMR system
• May float to Med/Surg and CVT units
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must wear royal blue scrubs
• Preferred skills include wound care and dressing changes
• Strong teamwork skills essential
