RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - CICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Alternating weekends required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• 16-bed cardiac intensive care unit with RNs only (no HUC or PCT support)
• ICU experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Required skills include ventilator experience, tracheostomy care, telemetry interpretation
• Must understand hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Work with equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Advanced skills desired: IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• Procedures performed include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Travelers float to all areas as needed
• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs)
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated

This healthcare facility features a specialized 16-bed cardiac intensive care unit located in the J Building. The facility maintains high standards for cardiac critical care with state-of-the-art equipment including advanced cardiac support devices. The unit focuses exclusively on cardiac intensive care patients requiring complex monitoring and interventions, with specialized procedures performed directly on the unit including cardiovascular interventions and advanced cardiac support therapies.
