RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed Neuro Vascular ICU (NVICU)
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing levels
• Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedule is done in 4-week increments with self-scheduling options available
• Manager will adjust shifts as needed to balance schedule
• Contract labor is first to float; expected to float to medical/surgical units when needed
• Must wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) as required uniform
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• ICU experience required
• Active RN license required
• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as tech
• Assist with procedures including central line insertions, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
