RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 35-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit on the G4 floor of G Tower
• Patient ratio of 1:2 providing intensive care to critically ill patients
• Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC (charge), 1 PCT, and up to 19 RNs depending on census
• Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC (charge), 1 PCT, and up to 19 RNs depending on census
• Weekend schedule requirement: every other weekend (day shift works Saturday/Sunday, night shift works Friday/Saturday)
• Must have greater than 1 year of ICU experience - candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Preferred experience in neurological, trauma, or cardiac ICU
• Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse preferred
• Work with advanced equipment including EVDs, ventilators, EV1000, rapid infusers, and Ceribell
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform procedures including central line/HD/a-line insertion, wound care, and post-neurological intervention care
• Float to SICU, CVU, PCU, and ED holds for ICU patients as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Ideal candidates are positive, upbeat, and hard working
