RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Progressive Care Unit
• 13-week travel assignment
• 2 years of hospital experience required
• 2 years PCU experience specifically required
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio
• Must have active compact nursing license at time of submission
• NH RN license required at submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIAH
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills and critical drip experience required
• Must be self-directed, confident, positive under pressure with strong communication skills
• Work with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
• Use Expanse EMR system
• Float to Med Surg, ICU for border patients, and Emergency Department for ED holds
• Every other weekend schedule or equivalent based on staffing needs
• Professional dress code with no required scrub color
• Pre-post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience preferred
• Prior HCA experience preferred

Facility:

This medical center operates a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit on the 2nd floor, providing intermediate-level care between general medical floors and intensive care. The facility maintains a team-based approach with 5 RNs and 2 LNAs per shift, flexing staffing based on patient volume. The unit specializes in cardiac monitoring and critical care, offering comprehensive services for patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing care.
