RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-week assignment on day shifts
• 24-bed ICU unit with 46 staff members
• Patient ratios: 1:2 (1:3 for PCU boarders, 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity patients including IABP, CRRT, open hearts)
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Scheduling requirements: Straight nights or 50/50 schedule
• 3 weekend shifts required within a 4-week period
• Floating policy: PCU or as a sitter anywhere in hospital inpatient
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience (will consider 1 year strong experience)
• Experience required with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills
• Typical procedures: Rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, bronchoscopy, intubation, arterial line placement, chest tube placement
• ACLS certification required
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Ideal candidate: Outgoing team player
• Unit staffing includes 1 CCT/US during day shift if greater than 10 patients
