RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week backfill contract assignment
• Must be available to float to facility FSEDs as needed
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios: 1:4 in Emergency Department, 1:5 in Behavioral Health, 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients
• Work with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track areas, and 5 behavioral health rooms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred experience with Meditech, trauma cases, holding inpatient experience, and CPI
• Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, Stryker stretchers
• Electronic medical record system: MEDITECH
• Typical procedures include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, morgan lens, rapid infuser, and resuscitation
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs for RN positions
• Ideal candidate is a multitasker, team player, and self-starter

The emergency department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and employs a robust team of healthcare professionals including charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs across all shifts. The facility has an active UBC and Social Committee and maintains recognition for excellence in emergency care services.
