Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, or 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• 12-hour night shifts available with 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio in emergency department
• Must have minimum 2 years emergency room experience
• Must have 1 year of Trauma Level 1 experience (will consider 8+ months)
• Must have Cerner EMR experience - specify recency on resume
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Float between 4 facilities: St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and 2 free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale (approximately 30 minutes apart, can float mid-shift)
• Must have own vehicle for floating assignments
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail requirement)
• Must be able to read Phillips monitor strips
• Work with 36 acute beds, 54 subacute beds, and 6 trauma bays
• Handle 250-300 patients per day including trauma, cardiac, and spinal cord cases
• Manage 30-40 psychiatric holds
• Navy scrubs required
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation provided
