RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Travel nursing assignment with 2 positions available
• Patient ratios typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
• Work in 28-bed ICU with two pods - Pod A (12 beds on first floor) and Pod B (16 beds on second floor)
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and Meditech experience
• Equipment used includes Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero
• EMR system: Meditech
• Handle typical procedures including neuro surgical, trauma (level III transitioning to level II), cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, ETOH/Drug withdrawal, and all ventilated patients
• Work with 24/7 Intensivists and critical care tech staffed 6 days a week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• Team includes 42 staff members with nursing staff ranging from new graduates to 20+ years of experience

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a recently expanded 28-bed intensive care unit with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The facility maintains an average census of 100-125 patients and is currently undergoing a level II trauma survey upgrade from level III. The ICU expansion opened in January 2019, demonstrating the organization's commitment to growth and advanced patient care. The facility is supported by 24/7 Intensivists who are known for their teaching approach and respectful collaboration with nursing staff.
