RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in the Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Choose between 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Work every other weekend as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with 22-bed unit
• May be floated to other stepdown units depending on staffing needs
• 2 years of Cardiac Medical ICU experience required, inpatient only
• Experience with CVI and recovering open hearts directly from the OR required
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Work with equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun
• Use EPIC EMR system
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and suicidal ideations
• Dress code requires black scrubs only
• Prohibited items include hats, non-facility jackets/sweatshirts, and air pods
• Position requires standing and walking most of the time with significant bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
