RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours as needed with expectation of every other full weekend
• Float requirements to Med Surg and Progressive units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on 17-bed neurosciences unit
• Must have charge experience or be willing to learn charge duties
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS; NIH (can be completed at orientation)
• Work with medical and surgical neuro patients including Parkinson's, stroke, lumbar cases (no trauma)
• Use EPIC EMR system and customary equipment including IV pumps
• Provide IV therapy competency including care for central lines
• Administer medications, wound care, and monitor patients for reactions
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1
• Must attend Neuroscience Nursing course as assigned
• Expected to work at least one major summer or winter holiday
• Contract duration of 13 weeks (up to 26 weeks upon request)
