RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed by facility
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Must have 3 years Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience, CVI experience recovering open hearts directly from OR
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Current RN License eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• May float to other stepdown units depending on staffing needs
• Work with equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun
• EMR system: EPIC
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, suicidal ideations
• Dress code: Black scrubs only, no hats, non-facility jackets/sweatshirts, or air pods
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, significant bending and stooping
