RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required as needed by facility/every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios: 1:5/6 on a 60-bed unit
• Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units
• Work with medical patients including post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certifications: ACLS from AHA only
• Current Missouri RN license or eligible for Missouri licensure required
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required
• Equipment used: Bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, wound vacs
• EMR system: EPIC
• Dress code: Black scrubs only
• Flu vaccination or approved exemptions required November 1-April 1
• Night shift positions orient on day shift (must be available entire week for orientation)
• Perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical requirements include standing and walking most of the time, lifting and turning patients with assistance
