RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Neuro/Ortho unit with 25 beds and 40+ staff members
• Patient ratios of 6:1, sometimes 5:1
• Day shift includes 1 free charge, 1 UC, 3 PCTs, and 5 RNs
• Night shift includes 5 RNs and 1 PCT
• Work with equipment including Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred skills include Meditech experience and telemetry experience
• Must be able to perform general med/surg competencies
• Preferred abilities include managing chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin drips
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
