RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NVICU)
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing
• Unit secretary staffed during day shift with occasional nurse extern working as tech
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available to an extent with manager adjusting shifts to balance schedule
• Contract labor is first to float, may be expected to float to medical/surgical units
• Perform procedures including central line insertions, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Active RN license and ICU experience required
• Dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms required
