RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 5:00 PM to 9:30 AM
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be indicated on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed
• No call requirements
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• 1 year medical surgical inpatient experience required
• Current RN license (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certifications: ACLS from AHA
• Work with equipment including Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machines
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system
• Dress code requires black scrubs, no open-toed shoes
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift with full week availability required
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance

This healthcare facility has been serving the South County area for over 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care. The facility earned a B grade in The Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Grade and offers all-private rooms with nationally recognized care. It operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center (the only one in the South County area), Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center. The facility holds Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Certification in Heart Failure and has received the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The medical surgical unit has 15 beds currently with 15 additional beds under construction.
