RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 27-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4-6:1
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics with additional staffing increases throughout the day
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics
• Weekend requirements: four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Must have 2-3 years of ER experience
• Experience with high acuity ERs, fast-paced environments with high volume preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 preferred
• Perform procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psych patients, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Dress code: navy blue or white scrubs
• No floating to other units required

The emergency department maintains appropriate staffing levels with experienced nursing staff and medics to handle a wide variety of emergency situations including stroke protocols, sepsis care, and psychiatric patients.
