RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Rotating weekends required (4 days per schedule period/4 weeks)
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2 nurse to patient depending on patient acuity
• Previous cardiac experience required
• Device experience strongly preferred, especially with ECMO, RVAD/LVAD, Impella, IABP, CRRT/Dialysis
• Open heart recovery experience preferred
• Work with equipment including CRRT, Tablo, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO (VA and VV), RVAD/Centrimag
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Handle typical procedures: CABG/Valve open hearts, ECMO cannulation, IABP, Impella management, Dialysis
• Manage 13-15 open hearts average per week with 2-3 devices on floor at any time
• Must be comfortable problem solving independently in high-acuity environment
• Ability to receive feedback and provide staff accountability required
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
