RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 12-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Standard ICU patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients unless higher or lower acuity requires adjustment
• Participative scheduling with minimum 3 weekend shifts per month required
• Block scheduling not guaranteed - manager reserves right to move staff to fill schedule gaps
• Must float to other units in facility as required including PCU/Medical Surgical
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS minimum, CCRN preferred
• Must have cardiac critical care experience
• Ability to care for post open heart surgery patients minimum 1-2 days postop
• Work with standard critical care equipment plus Impella heart pump and Hemosphere advance monitoring platform
• Experience with CRRT preferred
• Participate as part of critical care team responding to rapids and code blues
• Perform procedures including intubations, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Required uniform: Navy scrubs
• Focus on patient experience including explaining care and medications, treating patients with courtesy and respect, and timely call light response
