RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work in a 36-bed orthopedic and spine specialty unit on the 3rd floor of Tower A
• Day shift: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1
• Rotate through every 3rd weekend (sometimes every other if leave of absence)
• Must have acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry type units
• Kansas nursing license required
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification preferred
• Work with equipment including traction, external fixators, halos, walkers, gait belts, bed alarms, continuous pulse ox, and remote telemetry monitoring
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Check out iPhone 7 each shift to utilize mobile heartbeat (iMobile) communication program
• Perform typical procedures including wound care and dressing changes
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
• Care for patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and traumas
• Work in fast-paced med/surg acuity environment with all private rooms
