RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 27-bed Emergency Department with 50 RN/25 Medics staffing
• Day shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics with increases at 11am (4-5 RNs) and 3pm (1-2 RNs)
• Night shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 2-3 medics
• Patient ratios of 4-6:1 (preferred experience with 5:1 ratios)
• Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Must have 2-3 years Emergency Room experience
• Experience in high acuity, fast-paced ERs with high volume preferred
• Perform typical ER procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)
• Weekend requirement: four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating to other units
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Work with EMR system Meditech
