RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 27-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4-6:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics with additional RNs added at 11am and 3pm
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics
• Weekend requirement of four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
• Must have 2-3 years ER experience required
• High acuity ER experience with fast-paced, high-volume environments preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, psych patient care, and transfers to other facilities
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs
• No floating to other units
• Ideal candidate is relaxed, easy-going, friendly, team-oriented, and respectful
