Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekend shifts required
• 13-week assignment duration
• At least 2+ years emergency department RN experience required
• Must have at least 1+ year of travel experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Handle all patients from ESI level 1-5 with 4-5:1 patient ratio
• Provide care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients
• Perform triage and quick patient assessments
• Execute all clinical skills including PIV, NG/OG tubes, foleys, splinting, and wound care
• Assist with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement
• Answer call lights and transport patients as needed
• Board psychiatric patients in ER until placement is found
• Make calls for psychiatric patient placement during nights and weekends
• Float to other departments when not needed in ED (average 1 shift per 13-week period)
• Mix medication drips using vial to bag adapter during night shift
• Complete appropriate EMTALA paperwork per regulatory guidelines
• Work with EDIS Medhost EMR system and Omnicell medication dispense system
• No guaranteed weekly hours
• Blocked scheduling may be requested

This 93-bed regional medical center features an 11-bed emergency department that serves approximately 1,100 patients monthly. The facility is designated as a Level III trauma center, ACC Chest Pain/STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center. The emergency department provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages from neonates to elderly, utilizing modern technology and equipment to deliver high-quality emergency medical services to the surrounding community.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
