Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Work on 46-bed Progressive Care Unit with 4:1 to 5:1 patient ratios
• Must have 2 years of hospital experience and active Kentucky nursing license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Must be experienced with telemetry and EKG interpretation
• Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience required
• Experience with cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions management and titration required
• CPAP and BiPap management skills required
• Port access and therapeutic phlebotomy skills required
• Preferred advanced skills include chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, and blood transfusions
• May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU for telemetry overflow
• Work with equipment including GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, and Glucometer
• Document using Meditech Expanse system
• Dress code requires navy blue or gray scrubs with no t-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts allowed
• Unit performs telemetry monitoring, paracentesis, BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
