Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights
• 13-week contract assignment
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius from facility
• Occasional float to other departments for support duties like vital checks (will not take patient load)
• May float to other locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade
• Subject to low census and on-call requirements with 2-hour minimum call back
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license and BLS
• Minimum 2+ years experience required; ED or ICU experience very helpful
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Any clean, work-appropriate scrubs required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per facility policy

Facility:

This 25-bed critical access hospital features a 20-bed medical surgical unit with a typical census of 8-10 patients. The facility operates a shared ICU and Med Surg unit with 3 ICU beds, providing comprehensive care in a close-knit healthcare environment.
