RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable days and nights with shift rotation every week or every two weeks
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed with potential float to Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, and Divine Savior
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Patient ratio of 4:1 in a fast-paced environment
• Care for patients with conditions including stable sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and insulin drips
• Work in Medical Surgical Intermediate Care Unit with telemetry capabilities
• Required certifications: Wisconsin or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS (Aspirus requires AHA or ARC certifications)
• Minimum 2 years experience in Stepdown/Intermediate Care/PCU required
• At least one completed travel contract required (no new travelers)
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
• Any scrub color acceptable
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• Must wear mask at all times during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination
