Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment starting as soon as possible
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• May be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 on 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Care for post-op CABG/valve patients, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, and ablation patients
• Handle acute chest pain/MI cases and medical/surgical overflow patients
• Must be outside a 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
