Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week, no 48-hour shifts accepted
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
• At least one travel assignment must be completed
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients
• Handle post-procedure cardiac catheterization, pacemaker, defibrillator, and ablation patients
• Manage acute chest pain/MI and medical/surgical overflow cases
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility

The unit maintains a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover, requiring experienced cardiac nurses who can work independently and manage complex cardiac cases including post-surgical patients and those requiring specialized cardiac monitoring and interventions.
